Augmented Reality shows you a three-dimensional image of an object, as if the object is standing right in front of you. You can even walk around it. This helps you imagine what it used to look like in the past.
The title of the app comes from the Dutch word for ‘loam’, a common type of soil in our municipality. Much of our cultural heritage is hidden in this soil. Some can be found above ground, but always with its feet firmly on the ground.
Heritage is our past, but also our future. It offers future generations inspiration, identity and a sense of connection. Just start up the LEEM app and bring the past back to life!
